Conservation Project:

Ranimaker Consevation Project is located 22 Kilometers from Quepos/Manuel Antonio area, and 17 Kilometers from Parrita.Nested in the Fila Chonta Mountain range in Costa Rica’s Pacific side, this strategic reserve project forms part of the Quepos Biological Corridor. Rainmaker Mountain is one of the last remnants of primary rainforest in the Central Pacific. Many of the species of Flora and Fauna that make there home here are threatened or endangered. We hope that our efforts with scientist and biologists in Costa Rica, will conserve the important area for future generations to come.

The Rainmaker Consevation Project is a privately owned Rainforest Reserve that spans over 1530 acres of 90% virgin Rainforest. It is a biodiversity bank for 70% of all the flora and fauna species found in Costa Rica. The careful preservation of this are is our utmost goal.

Visitors to Rainmaker are afforded tours with knowledgeable nature interpreters on several carefully planned trails within the property for the ultimate nature adventure.

We hope your visit to Rainmaker provides you with the understanding for Rainforest Conservation in Costa Rica and worldwide.

Dr. Illar Ruul of Integrated Conservation Research, designed the canopy walkway system at Rainmaker. The canopy bridge system allows the visitor the ability of unobstructed views from a bird’s eye level in the treetops. Connected by a series of platforms, the walkway system is comprised of 5 spans of varying length.
